Trotta’s started with a husband and wife in the Bronx. Orlando “Al” Trotta had just lost his job with five kids at home. His wife, Anna, was already making ravioli in their kitchen. Al took it to neighborhood restaurants and sold it. That was 1955.

We’re still family-owned in Thornwood: Ravioli, pasta, sauces, frozen dinners, and cheeses- made and sold from the same shop. What you order here is what we sell at the counter. Boil it, sauce it, eat it that night.
