Nestled on 77 rolling acres spanning Brewster and Patterson, New York, Lobster Hill Farm is a small family-run operation with a big mission: to raise livestock with intention, integrity, and respect for the land. At the helm is Jessica Jarrett, a farmer, mother of five, and the driving force behind the farm’s regenerative approach and growing local presence.

Jessica and her husband Andy operate the farm with a clear focus — raising pasture-based, humanely produced pork, lamb, goat, poultry and more for families who value transparency and bold, old-fashioned flavor. What began as a simple desire to feed their own family clean, nutrient-dense food has evolved into a thriving direct-to-consumer operation serving their community through CSA programs, farmers markets, weekly on-farm shopping, and a popular farm stay cottage.

Lobster Hill Farm is built around regenerative principles. The Jarretts rotate animals frequently across diverse pastures, allowing the land to rest, rebuild soil, and support a healthier ecosystem. This hands-on management results in deeply flavorful meats with exceptional texture — something their customers rave about. “We don’t cut corners,” Jessica says. “We raise animals the way they’re meant to live — outside, moving, grazing, rooting, and expressing their natural behavior. You can taste the difference.” Jessica’s commitment to quality extends far beyond the field. She works closely with reputable processors, customizes cut selections for customers, and continually develops new value-added products such as sausages, broth bones, dog treats, and tallow balms. Their growing line of curated weekly meat bundles has made it easier than ever for families to eat locally and seasonally.

Lobster Hill Farm is also known for opening its gates to the community. Event days, wreath-making workshops, and hands-on tours give customers a deeper connection to the land and the animals that feed them. Their farm stay cottage — tucked just an hour from New York City — offers guests a quiet escape to experience real farm life. Despite the growth, Jessica remains grounded in the “why” behind the farm.
